TRAVEL HEALTH FAQs

Your health is our priority, wherever you are heading.

Planning a trip abroad can bring up plenty of questions about entry requirements, health risks, and vaccine timelines. To help you prepare for a safe and healthy journey, we have gathered answers to the questions our pharmacists get asked most often. Read through our guide below, or secure your dedicated clinical slot today to get your itinerary fully sorted.

How much does a travel consultation cost, and what does it include?

There is a £20 deposit required to secure your booking, which is fully deducted from the cost of any vaccinations or medications you receive during your visit. During this dedicated slot, our pharmacist will thoroughly review your itinerary, medical history, and country-specific health risks to create your personalized travel plan.

How early before my trip should I book my appointment?

We strongly advise booking your consultation 4 to 6 weeks before you depart. Many travel vaccines require multiple doses spaced a few weeks apart to give you full protection, or they take up to 14 days to become effective. If you are travelling sooner, please contact us for a last-minute slot—some protection is always better than none.

Do you offer Yellow Fever vaccinations or certificates?

No, our pharmacy is not a designated Yellow Fever Centre, and we do not stock or administer the Yellow Fever vaccine. If your destination strictly requires a Yellow Fever certificate for entry, you will need to visit a specialised clinic for that specific jab. However, we can still fully protect you against other major travel risks, including Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, Tetanus, and Malaria.

What do I need to bring to my travel appointment?

To help our pharmacist give you the most accurate advice, please bring:

  • Your detailed travel itinerary, including specific regions, rural stops, and flight stopovers.
  • A record of your past immunisations, available through the NHS App or your GP surgery.
  • A list of any current prescription medications you are taking.

Can I get my vaccines and my malaria tablets at the same time?

Yes. Our pharmacy is a complete, one-stop travel health clinic. During your consultation, we can safely administer your required vaccines and dispense your anti-malarial tablets during the same visit, saving you multiple trips.
